With the launch of a comprehensive industrial technology trade show in Shenzhen, Deutsche Messe follows through on its ambitious growth strategy in China.
The greater Shenzhen metropolitan area, also known as the Pearl River Delta, is an advanced manufacturing and service base that constitutes an important engine for China’s national economic progress. As such, Shenzhen is one of the key regions driving the country’s overall participation in the global economy.
Shenzhen has deep ambitions to become a world leader in technology and factory innovation and has by now established itself as a big hub for companies from Europe, the US and the rest of Asia. Already, Shenzhen is home to some of the biggest tech companies in the world, for example, internet and gaming giant Tencent, telecommunications firm Huawei, smartphone maker ZTE, as well as the world’s largest manufacturer of drones DJI and robot kit producer Makeblock.
The inaugural edition of the South China International Industry Fair (SCIIF) in 2020 is expected to cover 100,000 square meters of floor space and attract more than 1,000 international exhibitors as well as over 70,000 professional visitors from all of Asia and around the globe.
