Andrea Aulkemeyer is Member of the Managing Board of Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover. In her role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) she was appointed to the company's Management Board effective May 1, 2022.

Her Executive Board responsibilities at Deutsche Messe include the two business divisions Operations and Finance & Admin as well as three staff departments such as HR, Legal, Internal Audit and Risk Management.

The Operations division includes six departments: Facility Management, Venue Booking & Special Events, Access & Information Services, Technical Event Management, Procurement/Service Provider Controlling, Smart Venue.

The division of Finance & Admin consists of four departments: Controlling & Sustainability, Finance & Accounting, IT/Digitalization, Corporate Subsidiary Management.

Before Andrea Aulkemeyer became the first female CFO to join Deutsche Messe's Management Board in May 2022, she held various management positions as a division manager, managing director and board member in the healthcare sector since 1987. Her professional career began in 1987 at the Health Insurance Association for the Cologne district, and led her via AOK Münster and Clemenshospital in Münster to Roehampton & Twickenham Health Authority in London.

Andrea Aulkemeyer acquired extensive restructuring expertise, among other things, at RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG from 1991 to 2010. She started as an executive assistant, was a project supervisor and built up her career via management and divisional management before being appointed first as regional director and later as central director of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG from 2001 to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, she was a consultant in the healthcare sector and was then responsible for Klinikum Wilhelmshaven gGmbH as sole managing director from 2012 to 2014. From 2015 to 2020, Andrea Aulkemeyer was responsible for business management and administration at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (MHH) as Vice President and Member of the Executive Board. Before being appointed to the Board of Management as CFO of Deutsche Messe in May 2022, Andrea Aulkemeyer worked as a consultant in the healthcare sector.

In her professional career, Aulkemeyer has held numerous external mandates in the healthcare sector as chairwoman of the board of directors, member of the board of management or member of the board of directors and therefore has extensive board experience. All honorary roles were linked to the respective functions performed in her healthcare career. Since 01.01.2024 is Andrea Aulkemeyer a member of the IHK General Assembly.

Since 2004, Andrea Aulkemeyer has been involved on a voluntary basis as Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of the Lotto Lower Saxony Foundation for Retirement Homes with currently a total of three retirement homes.

Andrea Aulkemeyer studied business administration in health care facilities at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and graduated in 1987 with a degree in business administration.
