World's most important industry gathering for transport and logistics
New name, new slogan, new concept - Over 1,400 exhibitors from 42 countries under the motto "People and Goods on the Move" – Latest innovations can be experienced live on site

Hannover, Germany. After a break due to the pandemic, as of today Deutsche Messe once again welcomes the world's largest platform for transport and logistics to its grounds. Formerly known as IAA Commercial Vehicles, with a focus on light and heavy commercial vehicles, the new, innovative concept of IAA TRANSPORTATION encompasses the entire spectrum of transport and logistics. Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil, Hanover's Lord Mayor Belit Onay and VDA President Hildegard Müller opened the IAA TRANSPORTATION on September 20.
"The IAA TRANSPORTATION brings into public focus an industry without which daily life would not function: Commercial vehicles - whether small or large - are essential pillars for a functioning economy - for transport and logistics. And the industry's innovative and sustainable solutions are already making an enormous contribution to climate protection. This includes buses, which are getting a focus at this year's IAA. We can hardly wait to present many of the industry's fascinating innovations and impressive new products at the IAA," explained VDA President Hildegard Müller.
VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel is extremely satisfied with the level of interest in the IAA Transportation: "The new concept has met with an extremely positive response. All the planned hall spaces are fully booked. We are recording a higher proportion of international exhibitors and partners than in previous years More than 1,400 exhibitors from a total of 42 countries are presenting their innovations and concepts. These include international and national manufacturers, infrastructure providers, bus manufacturers, tech companies, startups and, for the first time, cargo bike manufacturers. Exhibitors of trailers, semi-trailers and bodies as well as suppliers are again traditionally strongly represented, forming by far the two largest exhibitor groups. This year we count over 260 exhibitors of bodies and trailers and almost 600 suppliers."
